Before scoring big in the '70s with the TV show "Sanford &
Son," filthy-mouthed comedian Redd Foxx had long career both
as a nightclub entertainer and as a recording artist,
selling literally millions of what were called "party
records." This live recording from the early '70s is a stone gas, with Foxx at the top of his quick-witted game, cracking jokes while glasses clink, drink orders are barked out by drunk patrons, and the audience howls at the often profane punchlines.
