In the mid-70s, jazz saxophonist Tom Scott issued a few great jazz-fusion albums with his backup group L.A. Express. In 1976 the group split from Tom and issued two excellent albums on the Caribou label. The self titled L.A. Express features Robben Ford on guitar. Shadow Play features Peter Maunu on guitar, plus a guest appearance by Joni Mitchell (probably because they were her backup band during this period). Both albums feature keyboardist Victor Feldman. For the first time on CD.
