John Edward Donald (AKA the Human Elephant) introduces himself with this debut LP. Donald's droll literary wit and deadpan delivery are set against warm and colour-saturated music. Part pensive irony, part heartfelt rock'n'roll, though post-punk probably is the most obvious label here. The cover of Joy Division's 'Ceremony' is a flag flown proudly. However, there are also elements of folk and roots rock.
