This is the debut album by the German guitar driven heavy rock quartet Coogans Bluff. CB Funk is a tasty mix of alternative underground rock, from spheric, psychedelic instrumental long jams to kick ass blues and punk influenced rock and roll tunes. As guest musicians contribute 2 members of Spaceship Landing. Influences are early Monster Magnet, Pink Floyd and other 70s hard rock likes but also heavier stuff like Motörhead or Kyuss. Truly a hypnotic very well performed album, feat. 7 cuts, which reflect an individual note, a good varietiy of effects and instruments used like sax, Hammond organ and always with a punchy groove and lots of intensity!
