Produced by none other than Manongo Mujica, 'Mis Ancestros' is the fourth release in the series 'Perspectivas De La Musica Afroperuana' ('Perspectives on Afro-Peruvian Music'). The Afro-Peruvian percussion ensemble Perkuato (directed by Percy Chinchilla) opens a new direction for Afro-Peruvian music with a free percussion sound that is modern, yet firmly rooted in tradition.
