Repress! Sixties UK freakbeat legends get a new legit re-release of their complete available recordings and Guerssen is the proud new home for them. A real cult freakbeat & psychedelic group, well-known for such all-time classics as "Path through the forest" and "Try a little sunshine", Factory released only a couple of 45s (both of them obscenely rare and paid big$$$ when rarely showing up). Here we get the 4 tracks appearing on these 45s, plus a couple tracks taken from acetates (killer covers of Familys "Second generation woman" and Fairport Conventions "Mr. Lacey"), as well as a new mix of "Path through the forest" that includes the original, different psychedelic effects that were supposed to make it to the original release but were dropped out by the MGM label superviser. Remastered sound (only beware, "Second generation woman" comes from a destroyed acetate!) and with linernotes by Factory's producer Brian Carroll.

Also available: PATH THROUGH THE FOREST/GONE (7").

FACTORY - PATH THROUGH THE FOREST/GONE

Without doubt, one of THE great UK psych 45s finally gets a legit reissue from Solution Records. The best example of that psychedelic groove that most bands were striving for, the Factory perfected it: distorted vocals, strained guitars and an eerie, dark atmosphere ... read more »

FACTORY - TRY A LITTLE SUNSHINE

Monster 1968 UK psych release and the second by this great band on Solution. Bit ambiguous as to who actually appears on the single, but there is no denying how perfectly the writers and production team came up with a great idea of late '68 psychedelic pop. Written by John ... read more »

BLACKBURN, JOHNNY -& MARY LAUREN- - ECHOES OF LOVE'S REALITY

"Most would probably agree that this is one of the very best psych-style LPs from the 1980s. Not retro at all but (like Bobb Trimble) a piece of the late 1960s preserved from times rust. Male/female vocals lament and serenade the quest for knowledge of love and beauty ... read more »

FLIPPER'S - PRONTO VIVEREMOS UN MUNDO MUCHO....

One of Colombias better known 60s & 70s groups is Los Flippers. But few people outside Colombia knows about this wonderful 1973 album they did. Its probably because it was self-released by their leader Arturo Astudillos own label rather than the bigger labels they used ... read more »

MANCO, BARIS - 2023

T2 - 1971-1972

T2 - 1971-1972

Amazing unissued recordings by cult psych/prog band T2, featuring their later line-up, still with the great Peter Dunton on drums/vocals, but now with Andrew Bown replacing Keith Cross on guitar and bass player John Weir on most of the tracks. There's also guest appearances ... read more »

FAPARDOKLY - FAPARDOKLY (SP)

FAPARDOKLY - FAPARDOKLY (SP)

Fapardokly is probably regarded as the most important release in Merrell Fankhauser's long career, and an absolute collectors item. The band recorded about 30 tracks in a small studio in Palmdale, California, from 1965 to 1967, when the owner of the studio decided to ... read more »

ATHANOR - FLASHBACK

ATHANOR - FLASHBACK

Chicago, early 70s. Greg Herriges is obsessed with Lennon, 12-string guitars and far-out psychedelic sounds. Rick Vittenson is a Beach Boys-Hollies-Who fanatic who writes for Crawdaddy! magazine. Both had previously played in several garage-college bands during the 60s. ... read more »
