The Flight Of Sleipnir are certainly among the best bands I've come across in recent years. Their music is always a masterful combination of Viking Metal and traditional Doom and David's artworks truly are "works of art". The new album is no different in that regard. They may have focused a bit more on acoustic parts, guitar leads and clean vocals - in short, the album is a little more pensive than their previous efforts - but if anything this even adds to the atmosphere of the album and shows what excellent musicians these two guys are.
So I'm sure that everyone who digs their band's previous releases as well as other Viking Metal acts such as Bathory or Ereb Altor will also like "Essence of Nine"!
