Exact repro vinyl reissue of this classic spiritual jazz/funk album from 1975, with Afro-centric overtones. Led by sax-player and vocalist Plunky Branch, this excellent East-Coast band was previously known as JUJU. Energetic percussion goes hand in hand with some wild guitar freak-outs, screamin' sax solos, cool male and female vocals. Steaming and out-there, 'African Rhythms' is a highly regarded title and definitely the real deal!

Also available: AFRICAN RHYTHMS 1970-1982 (2CD) (CD), AFRICAN RHYTHMS 1970-1982 (3LP) (LP).
