Friendly priced CD-reissue of this hitoric 1962 album. In December 1961, Polydor Records in Germany released the single 'My Bonnie' by Tony Sheridan & The Beat Brothers. The single made a rather modest #32 on the German chart, prompting a subsequent album of the same name that was released in January 1962. However, it was an enquiry by a potential customer at a record shop in Liverpool that set in motion a chain of events that would result in the launch of the best selling group in the world. The Beat Brothers werent brothers at all, rather they were John, Paul, George and Pete, better known as The Beatles, whose name had been amended for the German release as The Beatles was considered too risky. The album made little impression when originally released but two years later The Beatles were a worldwide success and the original 'My Bonnie' album was repackaged for release as 'The Beatles' First' and has also appeared as 'The Beatles With Tony Sheridan & Guests'. This CD-reissue of that set also features, as a bonus, both sides of The Beatles' first official single, 'Love Me Do' backed with 'P.S. I Love You'. TRACKLISTING: 01. AIN'T SHE SWEET 02. CRY FOR A SHADOW 03. LET'S DANCE 04. MY BONNIE 05. TAKE OUT SOME INSURANCE ON ME BABY 06. WHAT'D I SAY 07. SWEET GEORGIA BROWN 08. THE SAINTS 09. RUBY BABY 10. WHY (CAN'T YOU LOVE ME AGAIN) 11. NOBODY'S CHILD 12. YA YA 13. LOVE ME DO 14. P.S. I LOVE YOU
