Side A is a psychedelic cover of Jorge Ben's all-time classic 'Carolina Carol Bela'. Very little is known about Os Brazoes except that they formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1969 and backed Gal Costa during her early tropicalia years. The front man of the band is Miguel de Deus. This track appears on their self-titled LP on RGE in 1969. It's never before been released on 7-inch format. Side B features one of the unique greats of Brazilian music, Tim Maia. Maia was renowned for his iconoclastic, ironic, outspoken and humorous musical style. 'E Necessario' is taken from his self-titled 1977 LP on Som Livre, and again, it's previously unreleased on 7-inch.
