Silverstar Amoeba basically was a stripped down version of The Death & Beauty Foundation, comprising the duo of Val Denham and Oli Novadnieks. During the mid-'80s, apart from gigging in and around London (including supports for Psychic TV and Einstürzende Neubauten), they also made recordings, using primitive/minimal equipment. Backed by guest musicians on a.o. guitar, sax, bass and percussion, they released complete albums on a number of cassettes, which became cult collector's items through the years. Much of that music is included in this special release, that is recommended to fans of groundbreaking experimantal '80s groups à la Cabaret Voltaire, Psychic TV, 23 Skidoo, Throbbing Gristle, etc.
