Norosvaldo 'Noro' Morales was a Puerto Rican band leader and pianist who emigrated to New York in 1935. His brothers were also successful recording musicians. Whilst in the US Noro released 'Serenata Ritmica' on Decca Records and enjoyed
a very successful period playing alongside Machito, Puente, Rosario and many of the Latin greats. 'Saona' is taken from the 1964 Tico LP 'No Blues, Noro'. Cachao - a true pillar in latin music. Considered by many to be the inventor of the Mambo sound, a true master of Decarga or Cuban jam sessions and a highly influential Charanga bass player. Taken from the album 'Jam Session With Feeling' (Descargas Cubanas) originally
released on New York based Fiesta in 1962. Both tracks previously unreleased on 7".
