LIMITED DIGIPACK VERSION. A CD-release of epic early to mid-'70s instrumental psychedelic space-rock from the Pyramid Records archives! According to rumours these recordings feature the biggest names on the Krautrock scene at the time, playing under a pseudonym during studio after hours. Also noteworthy is that one Genius P Orridge is named as the producer of the Golem album. The name Genius P Orridge obviously is strangely similar to the name Genesis P Orridge, he of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV fame. The music can be described as improvised free-form trippery, featuring a.o. heavy drums, jamming guitars and Hammond organ, and on par with the music of Krautrock heavyweights like Neu! and Gila. The booklet essay examines the controversy surrounding this and other recordings, first made known to the world via Virgin Records' three disc 'Unknown Deutschland' series of compilations from the 1990s. This is a truly fascinating release!

Also available: ORION AWAKES (LP), ORION AWAKES (JEWEL) (CD).
