Bernd Kistenmacher, born in Berlin in 1960, is regarded as a
pivotal figure in the so-called second Berlin School of
electronic music, emulating the first which featured Klaus
Schulze, Tangerine Dream and co. Though 'Head-Visions', his
debut-LP -not taking his debut cassette into account-, dates
from 1986, the style is analogue and very much early '70s
influenced. This is a reissue of that album on vinyl, including
a download!

Also available: HEAD-VISIONS (CD).

CIRCLES (GERMANY) - STRUCTURES

Latecomers to the Krautrock party, Circles created a manifesto of frenzied inertia in the late 1980s, swimming in the same gene pool as Cluster and Popol Vuh. Ambient music for the end of time does not get any more authentic than this. The 'Structures' album is a time ... read more »

ULAN BATOR - STEREOLITH

The 2017 full-length by the French cult band showcases a crispness in sound that resists typical psych- and experimental clichés of washed-out and contourless improvisation. But perhaps the most impressive -and surprising- aspect of the album is its epicness. The ... read more »
