WOW! Here's a collection of singles and unissued tracks by Canadian underground psych masters JARVIS STREET REVUE, best remembered for their 1970 LP 'Mr. Oil Man', which remains one of the most extreme albums ever to appear through major Columbia. Their three singles date from the same period and the band also made recordings for a proposed second LP that never saw the light of day. This LP collects all the bands A- and B-sides plus the songs for that second album, with the suggested title 'Strands Of Time'. Also included is an insert with background liners, photos and images of sheet music for several songs.
SIDE 1:
1. 20 Years
2. Sally's Hymn
3. Tambourine
4. Intermission
5. I Believe In Freedom
6. Magic Man
SIDE 2:
1. Sweet Susan
2. Angela
3. Mr. Rock
4. Uncle Benny
5. Sweet Eyed Satin Lady
6. Better Things To Do

VIDRIOS QUEBRADOS - FICTIONS

VIDRIOS QUEBRADOS - FICTIONS

Some came to make records. Others did not leave any recorded evidence-they have been reduced (at best) to the testimony of a blurred photograph in an old magazine. But it was a generation of bands from Chile which gave shape to a stream of permeating rock, beat, folk and ... read more »

TIN HOUSE - TIN HOUSE (+7")

TIN HOUSE - TIN HOUSE (+7")

Tin House's music was a hard-rocking onslaught of lust, chops and powerhouse riffs that gripped like an alligator bite. These guys were signed to Epic Records out of high school. They were respected by Leslie West and Johnny and Edgar Winter. Their album (released in 1971) ... read more »

OPHIUCUS - OPHIUCUS

OPHIUCUS - OPHIUCUS

Ophiucus may be the name of an obscure constellation, but it's also the name of a French band that recorded an exceptional album in 1972 for the Barclay label. All the members of the band had already enjoyed ample success in music before musician/actor Emmanuel Booz brought ... read more »

SPERA, PIPPO - A BUEN PUERTO

SPERA, PIPPO - A BUEN PUERTO

A record that sounds like a summertime sunset, if ever there was one. Lilting melodies, infused with an undercurrent of bossa nova and the drowsy, faded memory of sun-drenched islands. All of this melodic loveliness is made ever-so-groovy in an Afro-Cuban sort of way thanks ... read more »
