After crystallizing a reputation for confrontational live performances and releasing an essential debut LP, Suicide revisited the studio to record the stunning follow-up. Producer Ric Ocasek (The Cars) added a pop sensibility to the band's sound, constructing an atmosphere at once light and catchy, yet still crazed and venomous. Originally released in 1980 on ZE Records, this album features an array of glistening keyboards and early preset rhythm machine sounds with a harsh simplicity that suggests the discreet zones and confined movements of urban life. For the first time since the album's initial release, this vinyl reissue includes the original tracklist and artwork.
