Shigeo Tanaka was a master of the yumi (bow), an uncommon
Japanese single-string percussion instrument. This release
features the track 'Takusa Saimon', an ancient piece of sacred
Shinto music, named 'Kagura'. It was performed with the yumi,
voice, flute and metal percussion. Listeners may find
affinities with aspects of music as diverse as German
electronic minimalism, certain Ethiopian music, "spiritual
jazz" and more, all tapping into the deep root of forever.
'Yumi Kagura' was previously available as a ridiculously
obscure 1990 cassette release.

Also available: YUMI KAGURA (LP).
