Try to imagine a musical score recorded without a conductor, orchestra, and even without musical instruments. This magic is possible thanks to the ANS synthesizer, an instrument with which a composer can not only create, but even draw his music without notes and orchestra. Soviet music lovers already are familiar with recordings made on the ANS, since it was used for the scores to films s.a. 'Into Space', 'Solaris', 'Mirror' and 'Siberiade'. This collection presents works of the well known Soviet composers Edward Artemiev, Oleg Buloshkin, Edison Denisov, Sofia Gubaidulina and Alfred Schnittke.
