Founded in 2002 as a one-man band featuring Carpathian artist Sergiy Fjordsson, Moloch delivers cold, misanthropic and desolate mid-tempo black metal, influenced by second wave artists like Burzum and early Darkthrone. 'Verwüstung' (German for Devastation) is a collection of 11 raw and stripped down songs with a minimalistic aggression that is enriched by a couple of synth-driven, meditative ambient tracks. 'Verwüstung' is definitely the most belligerant and riff powered chapter in Moloch's prolific discography yet. This edition on BLACK WAX is packaged in a luxurious black, white and gold heavyweight jacket with a printed inner sleeve and features previously unreleased tracks.
