Founded in 1968, in Oklahoma, Carp originally released its sole album in 1970. The music is heavily rooted in folk and country tinged hippie rock and adds x-ian influences. Singer, drummer and leader Gary Busey later became a famous actor. The album now enjoys its first ever release on CD.
