Psychedelic/progressive hardrock from Italy! Magia Nera was
founded in 1969 and remained active til' 1973. One of the
reasons for the band to break up was that the members were
discouraged after their van caught fire, destroying the tapes
that were recorded for the debut-album. Some 44 years later
most of the musicians got back together to re-record the old
material, thus making the dream of Magia Nera (in English that
is Black Magic) come true after all. The band's influences
include(d) a.o. Hendrix, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Led
Zeppelin.

Also available: L'ULTIMA DANZA DI OPHELIA (CD).

SUGAR CREEK - PLEASE TELL A FRIEND (IT)

SUGAR CREEK - PLEASE TELL A FRIEND (IT)

Originally released on the Metromedia label in 1969, this is an interesting bluesrock LP with rural leanings. However, there are a couple of excellent psychedelic tracks in the H.P. Lovecraft vein thrown in for good measure. This is a welcome reissue on vinyl.
