Keety Roots, aka Keith Joseph, launched his Black Legacy label at the start of the 1990s, making it the vehicle for a series of keyboard-led steppers releases. The first album to surface on the label is a showcase-styled item with singer Naphtali,
in which every vocal track is followed by a corresponding dub. Opening number 'Black Prince' is a devotional song speaking very much from a Rastafari perspective. 'Prince Of Dub' reveals some lilting flute-like melodies, along with shocking keyboard chords that leap out at the listener from all angles.
