With its original flip, the psychedelic soul-pop gem 'You've Got A Woman', now functioning as the A-side, this is a reissue of sorts of an obscure 7-inch by a short-lived Dutch project, originally released by Philips in 1975. Lion featured drummer Peter de Leeuwe (formerly of the acclaimed progressive unit Ekseption) and respected vocalist Glenn Robles, but the real force behind the release was producer Hans van Hemert, who back in the '60s was involved with recordings of a.o. The Motions, Q65, Ro-dy-s, Group 1850, Zen and other appealing names from Dutch beat- and psych-history. The original A-side of this single, the less notable 'But I Do', is replaced here by the 'Shoes Special Edit' version of 'You've Got A Woman'. An improvement for sure!
