In her own words; "This album, 'Ilja', is the final part of my 'Suistamo' series. It leads the listener into the frenetic, wildly whirling atmosphere of 'Mailmanlopun Maanitus', my fifth doctoral concert: a colourful dance party that shed light on the life of the parish municipality of Suistamo, beyond the (current) Russian border, and created the Karelian shindig of the future."
