During the transitional period in which Coil's primary leadership (Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and John Balance) reorganized their creative direction by taking on new membership in the group through their inclusion of Drew McDowall, Coil took a drastic turn towards the metaphysical unknown. Employing the subtle handiwork of Coil's "real life" members, as well as the cleverly guised aliases and spiritual collaborators, the band chose to filter their identity through a the nome de guerre, Black Light District, setting the precedent of Coil's future exploration of otherworldly influence. Recorded during the Winter of 1995/96, Black Light District reflects more on their formal avant-garde pursuits and academic interests rather than their industrial pedigree resume.

Also available: A THOUSAND LIGHTS IN A DARKENED ROOM (RUS) (CD), A THOUSAND LIGHTS IN A DARKENED ROOM (USA) (CD).

DEATH OF LOVERS - ACROBAT

DEATH OF LOVERS - ACROBAT

The 2017 full-length by Death Of Lovers. While the tracks could easily have been included on the score to each of your favourite '80s films, there is a fresh perspective and process evident in the songwriting that rewrites the post-punk rulebook.

BODY OF LIGHT - LET ME GO

Another fine delivery of electro-goth tunes from the duo, made up of warped tape loops, aging VHS home-movie sound samples, primitive waveforms and processed vocals tinged with harmonic means.

SIGHTINGS - AMUSERS & PUZZLERS

Sightings' final album is the schizophrenic culmination of their brand of damaged rock. Isolated noise patterns shift from Mark Morgan's unorthodox guitar patterns, while Richard Hoffman's stampede-like momentum on bass, slammed against Jon Lockie's drum triggers, make the ... read more »

WETWARE - AUTOMATIC DRAWING

WETWARE - AUTOMATIC DRAWING

Wetware's explosive live antics and unusual behavior has caused alarm amongst NYC's audiences, making Wetware the group "not be missed".

HIGH-FUNCTIONING FLESH - DEFINITE STRUCTURES

Instinctive EBM laced punk from LA. Referencing the rack mount synthesis and accented drum machine strikes of '80s bands like Portion Control and Nitzer Ebb, High-Functioning Flesh main-lined its punk resumes into the reaction causing a signature chemtrail of martial ... read more »
