Spacegoat is a fabulous stoner/doom-band from Monterrey, Mexico. 'Superstition' is the debut full-length of this fairly young group, formed around singer Gina Rios and her brother and main-songwriter Miguel on lead guitar. As the genre's aesthetics imply, there are no big musical inventions or distractions here - it is not progressive by any means, it is straight heavy guitar driven hard rock. Yet among the many small things, there is one that makes a big difference, and that is Gina's voice. In all ranges from sweet and bewitching to a full-on siren, she really shines out from this rough diamond of an album with its hints to '70s classic rock, psychedelia and even a kind of southern rock-piece introducing the B-side... But now listen for yourself, and discover all the details that make this album special and more than worthy of being finally released on vinyl.
