The Switching Yard were formed by Brennan Barclay and Steve Novakowski who along with Peter Henderson, Chris Laramee and Jay Loos make up the brotherhood of 'The Switching Yard'. Fueled by Canadian ale, hash and plenty of fuzz o rama, for those of you who were addicted to their debut release 'Yet Again' as much as we were - that just nailed the wipeout nature of some favourite bands (Stooges/Spacemen 3/The Heads) - you have reason to be overjoyed again with this LP. With 'Brent' you still get the ferocity of playing that was all over 'Yet Again' just check out 'Scorched' which lives up-to its title as The Switching Yard drink up the Kool-Aid and strap on their rocket fueled instruments of choice as they head for Wipe Out. But with 'Brent' there is also the stamp of Primo Shoe Gazers (MBV, Lilys, Swirlies) as on 'Easy Feeling' and 'World Of Shit' all be it these Canadians come across like those bands via Dinosaur Jr and a whole load of magic mushrooms. So prepare yourself for another Switching Yard rave up as over 40 minutes they throb, vibrate and unleash a whole load of white light/white heat through your speakers. Only few available, so first come, first served.
