This home recorded collection of goth-inspired country songs finds Matthew De Gennaro glinting at darkness, light and the in-between. 'Laughing Lost In The Underground' leans not so much on De Gennaro's trademark plaintive Andean-indebted folk songs as it does on salient instrumentals that shift and dance, bridging the natural world with humanistic ruminations.
