Following 2018's debut album 'Home', Polytechnic Youth release a follow-up single from minimalist producer Middex. Presented on 7" vinyl, the two tracks here, 'Scrutiny' and 'Rook Takes Town', are pretty heavy-going on the effects but can't disguise a bedrock of minimalist synth indebted to the seventies and eighties. This one is released as a pressing of 250 copies. Expected to sell out swiftly.
