On 'Sentimental', the French rockers of Johnny Mafia are moving a little further away from the garage rock from their early stages, as can be heard on the single 'I'm Sentimental', presenting a rounder, cleaner and more punchy sound. The album has clearly been inspired by the punk-pop sound from the '90s, most notably The Pixies or The Breeders.
