Polish three-piece Shofar was founded by Raphael Roginski in 2007. Shofar's material is closely related to the mystical Jewish tradition. The pieces the trio performs come from pre-war musicological research from Ukraine, Poland and Moldova. Most of the songs are 'niguns', meaning magical religious songs that are supposed to lead the listener into a state of trance and ecstasy. This release comprises an LP and an 8-INCH EP.
