The territory inhabited by the Mbenzélé and Aka Pygmies is situated in the extreme north of the Democratic Republic of Congo. These field recordings were carried out over 5 days, and the compositions have been achieved through very simple instruments such as vocals, combined with hand clapping and a few other percussion instruments. Through collective improvisation the group manages to create a rhythmic and harmonic complexity.
