Uzu Noir is the solo output of Antti Uusimäki, a Finnish audio engineer-mixer-producer who has worked with Brian Eno, Circle, The Tindersticks, Ulver, These New Puritans, Pharaoh Overlord, Cyclobe, Old Man Gloom, The Utopia Strong & Natacha Atlas.
The 'Zo!' EP is Uzu Noir's debut release. Its 3 tracks breathe somewhere between darker shade of ambient music and kraut electronics (Berlin school and kosmische) with hints of new age, industrial, sci-fi and progressive synthesiser appreciation. Uzu Noir is influenced by electronic and experimental artists and composers such as Tangerine Dream, Coil, Brian Eno, Cluster, Klaus Schulze, Alice Coltrane, Christoph De Babalon, Talk Talk, Wendy Carlos, Aphex Twin, Biosphere, Philip Glass, Harold Budd and John Carpenter.
