Cole Albert Porter (June 9, 1891-October 15, 1964) is one of the biggest names in the 20th Century American music scene. Many of his songs became standards noted for their witty, urbane lyrics, and most of his scores found success on Broadway and in film. His compositions were recorded all the big artists, from jazz performers to pop stars. Here is a collection of 14 of his classics as recorded by 14 of the most important artists of the century.
