Xhol Caravan from Wiesbaden played an idiosyncratic blend of psychedelic and jazz rock that was far ahead of its time. They are best known for their legendary LP 'Electrip' from 1969. A few weeks before the LP recordings, Xhol Caravan played at the well-known Jazzhouse in the Brandstwiete in Hamburg. The gig was extensively recorded and broadcast by NDR. The CD, which is full to the brim with almost 80 minutes of playing time, was pulled from the station's master tapes.
