The band Tuleje consists of Gosia Zagajewska (vocal), Ksawery Wójcinski (double bass) and Wojtek Kurek (drums). Their interpretation of folk music from eastern Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) is permeated with deep respect for the original material and at the same time expresses their subjective view of tradition. It is a bold view, full of references to jazz, blues, early folk music and free improvisation. The repertoire is based on folk melodies from the villages around Konin. The lyrics were written by vocalist Gosia Zagajewska, who is also a poet.
