Xiphos is a side project of musicians well known from martial industrial band H.E.R.R. that now delivers their first album 'The Rise And Fall Of Athens,' a song-cycle based on the Greek
historian and philosopher Plutarch. Musically it follows the path that H.E.R.R. started with their last opus 'XII Caesars,' being released more than 14 years ago, thus being more atmospheric but not less dynamic and powerful including the typical trademarks and the sonorous voice of Troy Southgate.
The album is released as a limited edition of 100 handnumbered copies in a digipak including a 12 page booklet.
