The Deathtrippers fill a niche on the label that existed in classic UK-style gothrock. Leeds was considered a "Goth City" in the '80s with bands like The March Violets, The Three
Johns, Salvation, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and of course The Sisters Of Mercy. Deathtrippers continue this tradition, but combine the Brit-goth sound with guitar wave like Lowlife or Sad Lovers And Giants; it doesn't get quite so dark, but also very catchy.
