Originally released by RCA Victor in 1962 'Our Man In Jazz' marks Rollins' first step towards a more open and explorative form of Jazz. Performed by a pianoless line-up featuring two hyper creative 'Ornette' alumni: Don Cherry on trumpet and Billy Higgins om drums plus the super solid double bass of Bob Cranshaw, this release stands as a brilliant document of the early sixties new wave in jazz.
