US import, exact repro vinyl reissue. Bobby & The Midnites was a rock group led by Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. The band was Weir's main side project during the first half of the 1980s. For this solo project, Weir got together with a stellar group of musicians including Bobby Cochran on lead guitar, jazz greats Alphonso Johnson and Billy Cobham on bass and drums respectively, and the Grateful Dead's Brent Mydland on keyboards. Musically there are bits and pieces of reggae, '70s arena rock and California country rock to come up with an entertaining LP that's miles away from the Grateful Dead's music.
