During his service in a U.S. Navy band, Jaon Gay leapt into the world of Chinese folk songs and its instruments. Gay spent four years transcribing, imitating, assimilating, and innovating these sounds. Emerging along his journey was a cast of musicians, known as the Hidden Dragon Quartet. Gay recorded the self-released album 'Dynasty' in 2018, which was released on CD and digital format only. Aloha Got Soul selected six pieces from the CD for a release on vinyl.
