Vainaan Perua: Satavuotinen Sakka

Finnish folk violinist Emilia Lajunen has worked with many Finnish folk musicians. She has released an album as part of a duo with fiddler Suvi Oskala and she is also active with Eero Grundström as part of the duo Juuri & Juuri as well as a member of Ritva Nero. Now she presents her solo album 'Vainaan Perua: Satavuotinen Sakka' ("Legacy of the Dead: Deep in the Dregs"). On the album, she combines the historical fiddler recordings from the archives with dance, movement and play to create completely her own sound. The album tracks were created for Lajunen's stage projects.
