American Hot Wax O.s.t. (2lp)

The original soundtrack album (on DOUBLE-LP!) from the 1978 Paramount motion picture. Directed by Floyd Mutrux, 'American Hot Wax' tells the story of pioneering disc jockey Alan Freed, who was one of the very first radio personalities to introduce and popularize rock and roll in the 1950s. Freed is often credited with coining the term "Rock'n'Roll". Featured artists/bands include Chuck Berry, The Delights, Clark Otis, The Chesterfields, Jerry Lee Lewis, Timmy & The Tulips, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, The Spaniels, Frankie Ford, Buddy Holly, Bobby Darin The Cadillacs, The Elegants, The Turbans and many more. (These are possibly early copies, which however is not confirmed.)
