Blues guitarist Brownie McGhee and harmonica player Sonny Terry formed one of the longest and most popular duos in blues history. They performed and recorded together for nearly 40 years and played a big part in exposing the Piedmont blues style to a white urban folk crowd in the late 1950s and early '60s.
