Virval

Delivery Monsters

After a purely guitar-driven EP comes an album called 'Delivery Monsters,' on which in seven songs Virval captures the feelings associated with finding a new home in an unfamiliar city. The album was recorded during a stay in Amsterdam, where he moved a month before the pandemic broke out, and the album's atmosphere outlines the feelings associated with leaving the certainties of one's hometown and finding new ones in a foreign land. The title of the record then comes from the lyrics of one of the songs, which focuses on one of the common jobs of immigrants - delivering food. The album 'Delivery Monsters' was produced by the author and is different from his previous work. The lyrics are written in English and the songs have been influenced by a new approach during their creation. Musically, more space is given to keyboards and sound experiments with the voice. In sound, the author comes up with a new concept of the Virval project and defines its current form on the album. It sheds the label of a guitar band and ventures into the waters of electronic sound and thick bass lines. The album was written, recorded and produced in an Amsterdam apartment.
